On September 11, 2026, a federal jury found Durk Banks not guilty on all five murder-for-hire, conspiracy, and stalking counts. Two co-defendants were convicted of stalking-related charges. Banks remains in federal custody because a separate racketeering and firearms trial is scheduled for October 5, 2026. SwaggaLIVE supports the artist and supports due process.

Ultr@'s Artist Pick of the Week

Ms. Amanda Reifer

We here at SwaggaLIVE.com are definitely feelin' your vibez!!!

Barbados-born Amanda Reifer moves with unmistakable Caribbean confidence, fearless creativity and a sound built to travel. This week, Ultr@ puts the spotlight on an artist doing it entirely her way.

Amanda Reifer performing live
Ultr@Written by Ultr@
Is Amanda Reifer Sister Nancy reincarnated? I don't know. But her remake of “Bam Bam” captures the essence of Sister Nancy's aura, and it brings me back to riding the red band maxi taxis from Port of Spain to Arima, head gently resting on the 18-inch speaker, listening to “Bam Bam” and “Telephone Love.”
Ultr@

Now playing on SwaggaLIVE

Sister Nancy cut “Bam Bam” in 1982 and, without meaning to, wrote the loop the next forty years of music would keep borrowing. It is the most sampled reggae record there is, and it still sounds like the day it was pressed.

What Amanda Reifer does with it is not karaoke. She sings it like someone who understands the record was never about volume — it was about ease. That relaxed, unbothered swing is the hardest thing in the song to reproduce, and it is the one thing she gets exactly right.

For anyone who grew up in the Caribbean, that swing is a location as much as a sound: a maxi taxi rolling east, a speaker box for a pillow, and a bass line doing the parenting. Reifer's version reopens that door — for a new generation hearing it first, and for the rest of us hearing it again.

Thank you, Amanda Reifer, for helping us connect back to childhood through timeless music.

SwaggaLIVE Founder & CEO “Ultr@” is definitely feelin' your vibez, Ms. Amanda Reifer!!!

An open appeal for clemency: bring Tory Lanez home

SwaggaLIVE founder Foluwa “Ultr@” Rewane posted this appeal to President Donald J. Trump and Governor Gavin Newsom. Tory Lanez is serving a California state sentence, so clemency there rests with the Governor — but the federal record shows how broadly the pardon power has been used.

Giorgio Moroder

Often called the “Father of Disco,” Moroder proved that machines could carry emotion. His work with Donna Summer on “I Feel Love” introduced a purely electronic pulse to mainstream music, laying the groundwork for EDM. He then conquered Hollywood, winning Oscars for films like Midnight Express, Flashdance and Top Gun. Decades later, Daft Punk honored him with “Giorgio by Moroder,” passing the lineage to a new generation.

Memphis · 1017 · “All Eyes On Shiest”

Real talk: we sat on this one. SwaggaLIVE almost didn’t promote the album — not because of the music, but because we couldn’t confirm whether Pooh Shiesty is actually seeing any real money from it. We’re a creator-first platform, and we are flat-out opposed to greedy record companies that pimp artists — locking them into deals where the label eats and the artist gets scraps.

Editorial Disclaimer

SwaggaLIVE does not have verified access to the royalty, advance, or payout terms for this album. When we cannot confirm whether an artist is receiving fair compensation from a label, we do not ignore the artist — we make the uncertainty transparent, route fans toward the artist’s own channels, and remain open to correcting the record if official information becomes available.

Read our Artist Payout Policy

So here’s where we landed: we spotlight the artist, not the machine. Follow him on his own channels, stream through the links he controls, and support him directly wherever you can. If Pooh Shiesty or his team wants to set the record straight on the album’s economics, our platform is open — we’ll run the update.

    SwaggaLIVE Spotlight

Busta Rhymes… The Last of Godz Still Standing!

Three decades deep and Trevor George Smith Jr. still hasn’t slowed down. From the Leaders of the New School to the Flipmode era, Busta Rhymes built a career on breath control that shouldn’t be humanly possible, cartoon-loud visuals that rewrote what a rap video could look like, and a work ethic that outlasted every trend that tried to bury him.

He is the last of a generation of larger-than-life MCs who treated the microphone like a stage, the verse like a performance, and the culture like something worth defending. While peers retired, pivoted or faded, Busta kept sharpening — physically, lyrically and creatively — and he still shows up sounding hungrier than artists half his age.

That’s why SwaggaLIVE is proudly streaming his new single “SPAZZZ” — a reminder that longevity isn’t luck, it’s craft. Godz don’t retire. They just keep spazzing.

    Community Advocacy

    Free Tory Lanez

Tory Lanez, born Daystar Peterson, is serving a 10-year sentence in California following his December 2022 conviction for shooting Megan Thee Stallion. Supporters, public figures and online petitions have rallied behind the phrase “Free Tory Lanez”, calling for his release or a reduced sentence — a movement echoed in his 2025 project Peterson, built around tracks themed on his legal case.

This SwaggaLIVE community appeal asks President Donald Trump to use his platform to support clemency for the Toronto artist. Note: because this is a California state conviction, the constitutional pardon power sits with the Governor of California — so the call to action includes state clemency channels alongside federal advocacy.
